We are already using AI in one form or another. There has been much in the news lately about AI development and effects on the workforce, in general. As MFT’s, we also must consider how use of AI (clients’ or our own use) impacts the therapeutic relationship, treatment planning, ongoing interactions, and outcomes. And we must hold to our ethical guidelines related to beneficence and non-malfeasance as we practice in all contexts. AI is relatively new: where we have previously conceptualized development trajectories of years toward an idea, a model or outcomes, AI can affect our plans and interventions in significantly shorter timespans.
AI developers warn that changes in this technology are exponential, and we need to pay attention. We will learn about what AI is, how it is embedded in what we already do, address considerations in its application, and discuss your experiences with and concerns about AI in your practice. From the AI-shy to the tech-savvy, we have much to discuss - please join us!
We will send registrants a link closer to the event date.
As with past Palavers, this will not be recorded, to protect confidentiality in any discussion of clinical cases.
