Internal family systems (IFS) is an evidence-based model of psychotherapy that is used to help individuals know and heal their inner parts.  IFS contends that the mind is naturally multiple and that each person has a system of protected and wounded parts, often forced into extreme roles.  IFS also contends that this internal system can and should be led by a core Self, which exists in everyone, that has the power to restore balance and harmony within the internal system.  IFS creates inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their Self and from that core come to understand and heal their parts.  IFS is not only a model of therapy that can be used in clinical settings, but also a way of understanding ourselves and our relationships with others.  This webinar introduces the basic assumptions and key concepts of IFS.
