Virginia Association of Marriage and Family Therapy
VAMFT is an independent professional membership association representing the interests of licensed marriage and family therapists, residents in mft, and mft students in the Commonwealth of Virginia. VAMFT is dedicated to advancing the marriage and family therapy profession, maintaining high ethical standards, promoting inclusivity and culture competence for the profession and increasing recognition and awareness of the value of the profession in promoting mental health for the citizens of the Commonwealth. |

| VAMFT advocates for and represents marriage and family therapists in Virginia. We work collaboratively with local, state and federal officials to sponsor bills and get laws and regulations adopted to benefit the profession of marriage and family therapy. We collaborate with state boards to create regulations that expand access to mental health care for the public and insure the recognition of family therapists as vital providers of behavioral health care. We inspire positive change, celebrate diversity, and create a compassionate and inclusive environment where every individual and family can thrive. We are dedicated to fostering a community of highly skilled and ethical marriage and family therapists who are committed to enhancing the quality of relationships and family life in Virginia. |
